A warm and welcoming mobile integration into the existing WeWork application. To kickstart the networking process by meeting like-minded individuals and through social events.

Prologue

About WeWork Together

My role in this project was to define the business problem that curated an intervention, content strategy, media content, visual design, and interaction design.

WeWork Together enables WeWork memebers to view who is using a WeWork space, what type of industry professionals that are within a space, and whether they’re open to connecting; housed within the WeWork’s existing mobile application. This project was developed through a senior experience design course at SFU, alongside my classmates, Jarrod, Kelvin, Emma and Kitty.

About WeWork

WeWork was founded in New York in 2010 with the purpose of creating environments where people and companies come together and do their best work. Today WeWork has locations all around the world that provides flexible shared workspaces from communal desks, office spaces, and being a service provider to develop usable spaces for organizations.

Problem

WeWork’s branding includes values of creating community, working together, and intertwining paths between individuals. However, WeWork’s current approach includes events which are only promoted through the WeWork member webportal. Otherwise, it can be difficult to make connections with other members. For our project we believe we can leverage WeWork’s coworking spaces to not feel limited to a physical space but rather an opportunity for individuals to grow their network through discovery, WeWork catered events, and scheduling within the current existing application.
